The Moulin Rouge is a French institution. An icon of cinema and an ode to Montmartre’s bohemian past, the cabaret is one of the most visited attractions in Paris. If you’re planning on a Champagne soiree in the famous Moulin Rouge, there are a number of ways to get there.

Metro Line 2 (Blanche)

In the heart of Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge is close to a number of metro stops, but the nearest is Blanche. The station is just in front of the cabaret and is serviced by the metro line 2. The line 2 runs across northern Paris from east to west. It also connects with all major lines that run north and south of the city. The Arc de Triumph (Charles de Gaule – Etoile), Père Lachaise cemetery (Père Lachaise) and the Sacre-Coeur (Anvers) are all on the line 2.

Metro Line 13 (Place de Clichy)

Just around the corner, the metro line 13 also stops at Place de Clichy. The stop is less than a five minute walk from the cabaret. The line 13 runs through the west of the city. The line runs through many notable tourists attractions including; Montparnasse Tower (Montparnasse-Bienvenue), Les Invalides (Invalides) and the Champs Élysées (Champs-Élysées–Clemenceau)

The number 30 bus begins and ends outside of the Moulin Rouge (Blanche). On its route it passes by the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower, allaying you to kill three birds on one bus.

The number 54 bus also stops outside the Moulin Rouge (Blanche) on its itinerary across the north of the city. It also connects with Paris’ major train station, Gare du Nord.

Bicycle

Paris’ pubic bicycle system is also a great way to travel the city. There are also a number of Velib stops outside of the Moulin Rouge.
